“You can make anything by writing”– C.S. Lewis
Children’s writing workshops take place in a fun, creative and encouraging environment. Using interactive activities and a range of writing prompts, young writers are encouraged to write their own stories, poems, cartoons, video games, songs and scripts.
Pauline's enthusiasm for reading, storytelling and writing motivates children to love reading, writing and storytelling as much as she does. gentle guidance empowers young writers to find inspiration for writing in their everyday lives, recognise the stages of writing and the importance of drafting and revision. Participants are given the freedom to work on current writing projects or to start from scratch and create new works-in-progress.
Workshops promote autonomy and encourage participants to express themselves freely and to transcend traditional structures and genres. Participants decide whether or not they wish to share their writing with Pauline and their peers. By inspiring and enabling children to engage in the written and spoken word, Pauline's workshops contribute to ensuring Ireland maintains its reputation as one of the greatest literary nations in the world.
